
The dashboard is the first screen that you are brought to once logged in. The dashboard acts as an overview of all the activity on your site.
Common tasks allows you to jump into popular areas of the CMS, like creating a menu for example.
The information box on the right gives you a brief description of each of the common tasks as you move your mouse over them and explains what they are responsible for.
The latest activity box is for your information, informing you of the latest activity carried out on your site.
This box tells you who is currently online and working on your site.
Here you will find the latest statistics of your website, including how many hits you have had, how many unique visitors and the average time visitors have spent on your site.
The support team are happy to assist you with any problems that you may experience. Initially Tony Taylor will be able to support you with any technical difficulties and Hayley Lloyd with any content issues.
This box allows you to report back to the support team any problems you are experiencing or any request that you have for the team. There are two drop down boxes to state how important your query is and whether you have a question or a request.
The watch list feature allow individuals that log into GCOM to flag their favourite pages or pages they wish to monitor. The pages that are flagged under the watch list act as a shortcut to modify the page.
